A mom lost her job and we wanted to help her by providing gift cards for food, but some stores are far, and she does not have transportation, so we were able to use the gift card to help her get to the store and back.

We were able to help a mom get to her court appointment .

A mom was able to use the gift card to get to her appointment in Leesburg from Sterling. Our families are grateful and so am I.

  • We were able to use a gift card for kindergarten registration.  A Mom walked over 30 minutes to the school with her 4 year old in tow to register.  We were able to provide them a ride home.  Mom and  her tired child were surprised and so thankful for the ride home.

  • We have a student whose car blew up/engine caught fire on the way here to school one morning. They are struggling financially and their child needs to get to an upcoming post surgery doctor appointment

I just had the opportunity to provide an UpLift Ministries Uber card to Nora Castilo. Ms. Castillo is new at our Elementary School. She moved to the USA with her two daughters a few months ago. Ms. Chirino does not own a car and is adjusting to a new country, language and traditions. With the UpLift gift card we gave her, she is going to be able to visit her immigration attorney's office within the next few weeks. She was extremely touched and thankful for the help our and UpLift Ministries were able to provide.

Mr. and Mrs. Ceballos just moved to the USA from Bolivia with their daughter. They have gone through a lot of loops to finally arrive in VA. They needed to get vaccinations and many other paperwork required for her 6-y-o daughter to start school, asap.

The Ceballos are staying in a temporary residence no within the boundaries of Forest Grove Elementary; however, they are in the process of moving to a permanent residence. They walked 45 minutes in the rain yesterday in order to come to our school. FGES was able to provide them with food, donations and hygiene products.

Most importantly, the Ceballos received a $25 UpLift gift card so they could drive to a health clinic to finish with all the paperwork needed for their daughter. They were able to take the food, clothing and other items inside of the Uber car thanks to the generosity of UpLift.

They were extremely grateful to you.

The family from yesterday received two uplift gift cards to meet their medical needs. Both students have been very ill and their attendance has been impacted. When the principal and I contacted the family, they shared they had no way to get to the emergency room to receive the adequate care for their illnesses. The mother and the two children walked to school to pick up the gift cards. I helped them set up the ride and they were able to make it to the emergency room. Thanks to uplift we successfully met their transportation needs to promote their wellness and school attendance.”

Neysis Arguello used the gift card to take her daughter to the hospital.

Neysis words of appreciation are: "Thank you very much for your help, may God pay you back with a lot of blessings!"

One of our students, who is in a very difficult situation, was able to use the gift card to receive medical care.

The Guilford families have been extremely thankful when receiving your gift cards!  They have been really helpful in emergency situations and lessening the burden for our families.  Cars provided support for a mother to get to work, students to get to doctors appointments and a family to have the ability to come to school for a meeting.  We appreciate your supporting our community!
